Hello! Welcome, we are so glad you found us! We are Debbie & Dana, the mother daughter duo behind “Modern Baby.” We started this amazing business 10 years ago in our at home sewing room. We noticed that there was a need for organic modern baby clothing and accessories. We sourced unique materials and began sewing the most adorable baby items. Together the two of us sold our items locally at markets and in wonderful boutiques across Canada and the United States. We continued to grow over the years and realized that we needed help! Thankfully an amazing local manufacturer in Vancouver British Columbia was able to help us create our items while keeping them local and handmade. In December of 2019 we opened up our first Brick and Mortar shop at Uptown Mall here in Victoria.

Unfortunately in March of 2020 Covid hit and we were forced to shut down our shop for a few months. As things began to open up again we were approached with the opportunity to move from our 100 sq ft space to a much larger permanent shop. This meant big changes for our brand. Debbie and I made the easy decision to source out and bring in brands that we personally used and loved and made them easily accessible for all of you! We started out with a few brands and have continued to add to our collection over the last three years. We have curated the most amazing boutique that is full of unique and beautiful pieces from all around the world. Debbie and I are so thankful for the amazing connections that we have made over the past 10years and it is due to your support that we are thriving.
